Sire: Damon Hill

Dame: Rannesse

Breed: Hanoverian

Born: May 9, 2012

Color: Black

Registered: USDF, USEF, USEA,  Hanoverian

D’Amara was added to Mustang Leadership Partners in 2017 to start the development of our own breeding program. She is a truly beautiful mare that carries championship bloodlines. We welcomed her first foals with us in 2020: De Ciel, Secret Devotion, and Secret Formula.

D'Amara has found her passion in eventing with trainer Jodi Hemry. She is currently training and working her way up the levels of eventing.

De Ciel - For Sale

Sire: Don Martillo

Dame: Damon's D'Amara

Breed: Hanoverian

Born: May 5, 2020

Color: Black

Registered: USDF, USEF, Hanoverian

In 2019 we did Embryo Transfer from our mare D’Amara to recipient mares. One of the breedings was with a different stallion and resulted in Ciel. Since we were able to have 3 offspring from the same mare at the same time, we have been given a unique perspective as to what our mare brings to the table. Ciel also looks very much like the other two but is the largest of the 3.  She also stands at 16.2h as a 3yr old, but with more substance and bone than the Secret offspring. Ciel is a very sweet mare.  She never makes a ‘mare face’ and is always happy to see everyone. Ciel has won many awards showing In Hand, and we know that is just the beginning for her!

Damon's D'Orée [Clone I, D'Orée]

F08A41C5-43D5-4B27-91E8-D537A4D9D7EB_1_105_c.jpeg

Sire: Damon Hill

Dame: Rhodos

Breed: KWPN

Born: October 8, 2020

Color: Chestnut

Registered: USDF, USEF, KWPN

The process of “taking delivery” of our first clone took about 3 years before there was a successful live birth.  In the meantime, our imaginations ran wild.  We all waited, full of questions and anticipation.

The day finally came that we got the news that indeed we had a foal! She was born in Argentina (from a company that specializes in cloning), and we had to wait for 6 months until she was ready to be weaned and make the trip to TN.  From the time the original D’Orée was injured to the time the first clone arrived was approximately 8 years. A lot changes in 8 years, many more horses had become part of the farm.  We wondered if our memories had faded or if this horse would seem anything like what we thought she would be.  The day of her arrival came and the moment the doors opened and we saw her, we knew it was ‘her’. The way she looked at you, her mannerisms, and even her markings were amazingly similar. We wondered what her barn name should be, it seemed it would be weird to call her D’Orée but after about 3 days of being here we all were calling her D’Orée. She is now 3 years old and just beginning her training.

Damon's D'Orée [Clone II, D'Orsée]

Sire: Damon Hill

Dame: Rhodos

Breed: KWPN

Born: October 19, 2022

Color: Chestnut

Registered: None

After spending about a year getting to know our first clone, we decided to try again for another. Her markings are a bit different from the original and Clone 1, but overall, she is very similar and looks almost identical in confirmation.  The way she looks at you, the personality, behavior, and gaits are nearly identical to the others.  This time we needed a new name, because we can’t call them all D’Orée, so we named this one D’Orsée!  Since it’s been about 10 years since the original D’Orée left our farm, we have many employees that never knew the original.  Now that we have Clone 2 it has become crystal clear to everyone on the farm that these horses are incredibly similar in every way.  We are often asked “Isn’t it weird?”? Now we have the first-hand experience to answer and our answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT!  If you have an animal that has that special something, this is the best way we can think of to capture the essence of that animal.  It’s similar to a breeding program where you try to produce a desired outcome, but rather than a generational step down you’re working with a genetic twin instead.  We are so excited to see what the future holds for both of these girls!

Chivalry

Chivalry PP.jpeg

Sire: Sir Sinclair

Dame: Monza

Breed: Dutch Warmblood

Born: May 2007

Color: Bay

Registered: USDF, USEF, KWPN

Chivalry is an 18h Dutch Warmblood gelding, with quality scores at 3rd level dressage and the Prix St. George movements. He has amazing quality of gait, but due to his size, we have really taken our time with his training to make sure that he is as fit and strong as possible.

Chiv is a great character in the barn. His great size is well paired with his easy-going, lap dog personality. Due to his good nature, he is a fun and impressive horse for the students to interact with.

Chiv is a great attention getter at the shows. No one walks by his stall without stopping and asking questions about this big guy. This gives us the perfect opportunity to talk about what we do, our mission and to introduce people to the mustangs. While we don’t want to take the spot light away from our wonderful warmbloods, it is great that they are able to open the conversation for the underdogs, the mustangs.

Ladrao Do Drosa

Sire: Vulcano

Dame: Xajema

Breed: Lusitano

Born: January, 2015

Color: Grey

Registered: USDF, USEF, USLA

After falling in love with Messala we found Ladrao.  Ladrao had just been imported to the USA from Brazil and we were the first people to try him.  We fell in love and made him part of the family in Tennessee.  We affectionately call him “La-drama” as he likes to dramatize everything! He gets himself all worked up over various things, but when it’s time to go to work he is one of the bravest in the barn. Ladrao is always kind and has an unbeatable work ethic. He’s like the Energizer Bunny, never gets tired and just keeps on trying! With willingness, talent, and temperament it’s no wonder that more and more people are falling in love with the Iberian horses as they are different and such a joy to dance with. He knows how to do some “tricks” but the foundational pieces that hold it all together still need some work. We’re looking forward to Ladrao beginning his show career soon as well.

Messala II Da Sernadinha

IMG_4646.heic

Sire: Campeador

Dame: Espanhola Da Sernadinha

Breed: Lusitano

Born: January, 2016

Color: Buckskin

Registered: USDF, USEF, USLA

We had wanted a Lusitano or PRE (Pura Raza Espanola) for quite some time when we were introduced to Messala.  One look at him and we knew he had found his new home in Tennessee. We debated on whether or not to keep him a stallion as we have never wanted to manage a stallion on the farm.  That is not a decision we take lightly because the quality of life for the animal is of the utmost importance to us, as is the safety of our personnel. The breeder in Portugal requested that we please give him a chance as his bloodlines were too special to discontinue so he remained a stallion. We have had him collected and frozen and look forward to producing incredible offspring with him at some point. Messala has been a joy to deal and it’s sometimes easy to forget you even have a stallion in the barn.  He knows when the job is training and when it is breeding. He is currently learning the basics of dressage and we are looking forward to an FEI horse in the future.

Princess Sahara [Sahara]

Sire: Koning

Dame: Flying W Farms' Moonlight

Breed: Georgian Grande

Born: April 3, 2003

Color: Black

Registered: USDF, USEF, Performance Horse Registry (PHR), Friesian Spanish Horse Registry, International Georgian Grande Horse Registry (IGGHR)

Sahara was purchased as Sue Anne’s first dressage horse. The decision was made to breed her. Sahara produced two beautiful fillies by the stallion Gaucho III, Serenata and Borel.

Since then, Sahara has been brought back into work and is being used for the after school program. She is calm and loves the attention of the girls; in return, the girls love her too.

Secret Devotion

095A31D6-648B-4F53-A4B2-845E2292C873_1_105_c.jpeg

Sire: Secret

Dame: Damon's D'Amara

Breed: Hanoverian

Born: May 23, 2020

Color: Black

Registered: USDF, USEF, Hanoverian

In 2019, we did Embryo Transfer from our mare D’Amara to recipient mares. On one of the breedings, D’Amara double ovulated and both pregnancies were viable making Ricky Bobby (Secret Formula) and Devotion (Secret Devotion) twins! With one being a gelding and one being a mare we have really been able to compare their similarities and differences. Devotion and her twin brother look almost identical from a distance however, Devotion is significantly larger and has different white markings.  At 3 years of age, she is nearly 16.2h and Ricky Bobby is 16.0h.  While their movement is very similar, Devotion takes her work seriously. She is very affectionate and loves to be told she is a good girl.  She loves to be talked to and praised and is more inclined to a soft nuzzle than pulling off your hat!  She has won many awards in the ring in In Hand competitions and was also named Horse of The Year in 2022.  We’re confident she has a great future ahead of her.

Secret Formula [Ricky Bobby]

Sire: Secret

Dame: Damon's D'Amara

Breed: Hanoverian

Born: May 16, 2020

Color: Black

Registered: USDF, USEF, Hanoverian

In 2019, we did Embryo Transfer from our mare D’Amara to recipient mares. On one of the breedings, D’Amara double ovulated and both pregnancies were viable making Ricky Bobby (Secret Formula) and Devotion (Secret Devotion) twins! Ricky Bobby has been playful since the moment he hit the ground!  He was nicknamed “Ricky Bobby” after the character from the movie Talladega Nights.  “If you’re not first, you’re last” is one of the famous lines from the character.  Everywhere Ricky Bobby went on day one was at a high rate of speed. Even as he matures, he is constantly full of mischief and keeping everyone on their toes.  Ricky Bobby is always up for a good time. He will pull off your hat or somehow make sure he has your undivided attention.  He has done well at In Hand shows and finished in the top 10 at Devon. We look forward to seeing what his personality will bring to the dressage ring as he begins his career.
